2007 Costume Jewelry Summer Trends

Gemstones, Murano style glass, ceramics, crystal glass, shell and metals are the picture this season. This seasons trends are new and fresh and extraordinary. Here is some of what to expect for this years hottest sellers.

New Designs in Costume Jewelry

The necklace set rises to new importance this season with long designs very in and layered jewelry continuing to be good.

Metal play a bigger part with spacing in long necklaces and long chain designs. But costume jewelry in a season that has something for everyone does not have to be long. Chokers and shorten necklaces offer hammered metals for a hand-made look and geometrics are good with circles being most important..

Round is a shape and geometrics and round shapes are approaching an old world look and feel with pendants, discs, metallic rings and gemstones. Concentric circles and loops are in the earrings and bracelets this year. There is a trend towards silver this season, but gold is holding it's own and tends to be climbing in overall popularity

Summer Colors

Grey and white are important in the summer of 2007, as well as off-white, light browns, and shades of sage. Think Caribbean in brights with shades of peach, aqua, fuchsia, teal green, and yellow.

Gemstones will dominate this season with their color palette. Costume jewelry this year will prefer natural colors such as wood and shell. The always new Murano styled crystal and glass will have a stronghold with it's classic beauty.

Classic components are not the only trend in the diverse world of fashion. Denims will be huge impact on summer fashion and with them Southwest designer looks. Silver plating with a Southwest motif will enjoy popularity this summer in total metal designs or highlighted with simulated jet, turquoise, or coral.

Classics never die and always are on the market. Expect vintage as well as retro styles to work with designs to emulate the Victorian era. Fashion jewelry was changed by the Victorian era styles and we'll be seeing filigree, cameos, platings and more from those days of old.

A return to values also awakens spiritual and caring feelings. Metal bracelets and necklaces engraved with verses and words of hope are not new, but this season they will enjoy a resurgence of popularity. The trend has already started with some wholesalers reporting it is their hottest item.

As a fashion trend, costume jewelry is indispensable for the 2007 season. Tried and true this years fashion trends will reach a record breaking high in style, aesthetic beauty and designer image.
