We are in a really fast age, with everyone moving around really fast, with really not much time for anything and everything. There are many little hobbies that are being forgotten, hobbies have become a big luxury now. I wanted to pace myself down, and feel whatever there had to be felt while I was having this life, and I asked myself what activity should I go after and that is when the thought of Painting came into my mind. Now, I was not at all a decent painter, but then I realized there were a few really good reasons why I should take it up- 1. It calms you down - Painting is full of movement and flow, and that really does quite a lot to relax you. 2. It makes you think- Anything that makes you think is good for your brain, and Painting makes you think alright, and more importantly makes you think emotionally. 3. It’s fulfilling- However hopeless may your painting be, you have something to look after you've done with it. There is an end product and that surely makes it a joy to pursue. 4. It kills time- It kills time in a really productive manner. Once you get ready to paint and put your mind in it, then you're sure to be pulled into it for a very long duration. 5. It lets you convey what is happening in your mind. It's like a major release. And more vitally it helps you master the art of speaking without any words. The most vital reason is actually that it's a very simple yet delightful activity. You can do group paintings or paint on your t-shirt. In this age of technology, it's really heartening at times to spoil yourself with activities like these. Gives you a sense of contentment.
