Most people, when they begin their search for the perfect home based business, are more than a little confused by the wide range of opportunities that can be found on the internet and have little or no idea of what to look for. They know they want to work from home but have little or no grasp of what they should be looking for. In this series of articles I have tried to identify the various criteria that the potential home based business opportunity owner should be seeking. The one thing the internet is not short of is work from home business schemes. Check them out against the check list and if they don't come up to scratch then it's time to look elsewhere. One of the most popular and regular search terms on Google is for internet home based businesses - use the power of the search engines to help you find the one that is right for you. Never forget that the internet is "Scam Central". For every genuine opportunity there are countless others who don't care as long as they take your money. The top 7 criteria for a succesful, workable, ultra-profitable home based business... Take a look... What do you think? 1. Should Cost As Little As Possible: Any work from home business opportunity should have low start up costs and there should be little or no requirement for extra or special equipment 2. Selling Free Zone: I personally hate selling and I'm pretty certain most people would agree - If you fit that description then try to avoid any work from home opportunity that involves the "S" word. 3. Must Genuinely Be A Home Based Business: If it isn't then avoid it like the plague. It's your choice and decision to work from home so why get involved with outside premises. Keep your hands in your pockets and enjoy the savings you've made. 4. You've Heard Of A One Man Band?: The ideal work from home business should be simple and able to be operated by the owner - aka you - or at the very most only ever involve his or her family. Forget hiring (and firing) it's too expensive and too fraught with problems 5. If You're Not Selling Anything, Why Do You Need Stock? Your garage is for your car, not for your business stock in trade. Buying and holding stock will soon eat up your working capital which can be better employed. 6. Should Need No Staff: If you work from home on your own account why would you want to employ staff? You should not need to rely on staff or outside contractors - so no inflated operating costs and no need to trust strangers. Trust in yourself; not others. 7. Should Leave You Some Free Time To Enjoy Your Success: One of the joys of working from home in your own business is that it should not take up every second of your waking day. There's no commuting to start with so use that time sensibly. If you are looking for a full time commitment then treat it as that but model your day on the standard working day. You have a life to enjoy therefore it should take up as little of your time as possible, even when worked on a "full-time" basis How does 15 minutes a day sound?
