A healthy way to start could be to try to avoid saturated fats, including animal meat, and any sort of fried food. There are other fats, including fish oils, which recent researches indicate are actually helpful, but trans fats, much used in manufactured biscuits, cakes, etc. are banned in some countries.

Fortunately most fruit and vegetables contain antioxidants but some are better than others. Therefore, if you include lots of these in your daily food intake, you will be going the right way to stop free radical damage in its tracks. Though you most likely would not consider fruit and vegetables as qualifying as a natural medicine, that is precisely what they are, but they have an further benefit of being very tasty as well.

You will realize from this brief commentary, that antioxidants will assist you to stay healthy, by neutralizing free radicals. You will require common sense to make sure there are sufficient antioxidants in your diet. If you fail to pay the required consideration to your eating habits, you must accept the risks.
