Berbatov and Manchester United Perfect Match Bulgarian international Dimitar Berbatov completed his 30 million transfer from Tottenham to Manchester United. I think everybody has won in this situation as Tottenham have got a good profit on the player, the player has made his dream move and United get a world class striker. The player has been unhappy at White Hart Lane for some time and hasn't been at his best due to the speculation. He's the sort of player who needs to be mentality right to perform at his best. He can sulk at times if things aren't going his way also, but at his best he is unplayable. The move to Manchester United maybe just the motivation to start performing at his best. "I've handled expectation and pressure throughout my life - I'm not scared of that. That's why I'm here," he told MUTV "The most important thing is to enjoy myself, help the team win more trophies and to thank the fans. "If I do that and show what I can do like I did at Tottenham, I don't think there'll be any problems. I hope my peak years are still to come. I'm 27 and now is my time. "This is perhaps the last step in my career and the biggest club in the world. I feel I can develop in the way I want here and the way I've always wanted. "That's the most important thing." The Bulgarian international has signed a four-year deal at Old Trafford after a long pursuit. Manchester City also had a bid accepted by Tottenham, but the player only had eyes for United. Manchester United also tried to sign Berbatov two years ago before he signed for Tottenham, but Tottenham had already tied up a deal for the player and Sir Alex Ferguson is delighted to have finally signed the player. We tried to get him when he was at Bayer Leverkusen, but we only had a few days to get the deal done," Ferguson told MUTV. "Tottenham had already made a bid. Unfortunately, we hadn't moved at the right time two years ago. "Now we've managed to get him. It's cost us a bit more money, but he's worth it."
