Infact BMW engines were used in Bristol cars up until the start of the 1960s when the newley developed Bristol 407 was switched to using a V8 Chrysler engine to this day all subsequent Bristol motor car models have been built using the Chrysler V8 as it is a more suitable engine for the heavy chasis based Bristols of the newer era.
The Bristol Motor car company is currently owned by Tob Silverton since 1997 and through this period Bristol have worked hard to create new and interesting Car Models including the new Bristol Fighter.
