Creating a Wedding Album

By: David Westwood

A wedding collection has a different story to tell then a photograph album which simply records your special day.

Photographs will be a visual exhibit of your wedding. However, Sharing the adventure, leading up to your wedding is so much more than simply sharing the photographs of the actual wedding day.

Here are some proposals in creating the diary;

Begin with some snapshots of both the bride and groom as children, progressing through their teenage years and then snapshots of the 'courting couple' before the actual wedding day.

During the planning there will be different stages including the organisation and viewing of
the reception to be dealt with. Let's not forget the brides dresses, and of course invitations and flowers.Photographs by the side of your postscripts can all be used.

It is worth photographing the banquet area when empty, before it becomes filled with happy relatives and friends.

Also keep a copy of the menus,RSVP returns, service sheets,and the sometimes forgotten, guest list.

Also try and get copies of the others speech makers not forgetting the father of the bride.

Create a page on the brides entourage - all sorts of photographs can be taken and comments written about the bridesmaids.

If you use a wedding Singer not only take their photograph - also include one of their business cards. Also include the business cards and brochures of the wedding photographers, chauffeurs and caterers.

In your diary why not include some of the mishaps, as well as the fun times. When you are celebrating your anniversaries in the future you will spend much time looking back at the events as they unfolded with amusement. Do you remember that first dance?

Let's not forget the best man's speech - did he really use those jokes!
