Have you ever speculated what a Broadway play is like? Are you looking for an evening filled with astonishment and wonderment, grandeur and thrills? Where you enter a world of illusion and beauty from the moment you step into the theater to find your seat. Gazing about you in awe at this world you have just entered, a rich tapestry of color surrounds you, the lighting muted and soft, lending an eerie glow as you are about to experience all the world upon a stage, with sounds merrily emanating from the orchestra pit in front of you, and gigantic and ornate curtains on the stage rippling with activity unseen behind them. Then the hush grows to silence as the immense curtain rises and you catch your first glimpse of the show you are about to see. One thing you may notice is how still you sit and how intrigued you become when you discover you're now a part of this wonderful new world. You immediately begin to empathize with the characters you witness on stage, you feel their pain and joy, and you almost become part of their world indeed. In too soon a time it seems, the actors retreat and you seem as if you can breathe normal for a moment as the lights softly glow again. It’s intermission time and a chance to take a drink. You may buy a program to carry you through the intermission as the real world begins to creep back into your consciousness. In cities all over the country, seeing a Broadway show is pure pleasure for those looking for one of the finer things in life, at a price everyone can afford. From New York City to Boston, Chicago to L.A., National tours of the Broadway hits My Fair Lady and the Lion King can be seen in many cities across the US and Canada. From the oldest running show on Broadway, The Phantom of the Opera, to The Color Purple, a movie made into a Broadway show, your choices are endless for an evening filled with wonder and something you will never forget, whether you are crying with the actors on stage to laughing so hard there are tears in your eyes. Going to the theater is an experience that has no equivalent. You'll find yourself carried to a world that you've never been to before, in all its brilliance and magnificence.
