With more than three hundred mountain ranges, approximately 20 state parks, and one of the bluest lakes in the world, Nevada is truly the most breathtaking playground on Mother earth. The State of Nevada got its name from a Spanish word which means "snow clad", as it relates to the Sierra Nevada Mountain Snow Peaks. Vacationing in Nevada is always a win-win situation whether you like the warm desert sun, snow-capped mountains, crystalline lakes, or lavish hotels and casinos. For those who are in the mood for some adventure, and want fast-paced entertainment, head for the glittery casinos of Reno, Laughlin, or the famous Las Vegas Strip. There are a number of things you cannot afford to miss in Nevada! Check out Las Vegas Shimmering from the desert haze of Nevada like a latter-day El Dorado, Las Vegas is the most dynamic, spectacular city on earth. The water show in front of the Bellagio, St. Mark's Place, the lion habitat at MGM Grand, the Luxor pyramid, the Roman streetscape at the Forum Shops in Caesars Palace, and the view from the observation deck at the Stratosphere Tower; Las Vegas has all this and more. Ski Lake Tahoe With blue skies, plenty of sunshine and modern chairlifts that carry six people simultaneously, Mount Rose, Lake Tahoe is a skier’s paradise. Mark Twain referred to the Lake Tahoe area as a place where the air is so pure that the angels breathe it, and even if you aren’t really interested in skiing, you will find plenty to do here. Nevada is a state rich in history and culture, but richer still in its collection of museums.
