Extraordinary things to do in Springfield!

Springfield is located along the Sangamon River and the city offers it all from adventure, history, food and fun. There is plenty to do and see here no matter who you are travelling with, as Springfield offers something for everyone.
It may be extremely interesting to note that the most famous figure of world history, Abraham Lincoln, lived for approximately three decades in this city. Today, there are many visitors who come here just to check out the city because the famous President stayed here. To attract visitors, the city also opened its doors with the top notch Abraham Lincoln Museum and Library.

History fans come here to check out the Lincoln home and take tours which guide them around the village where Lincoln spent his childhood. The word Chilli and its spelling also has a connection with the city of Springfield. The incorrect spelling of Chilli originated with the Dew Chilli Parlour. It is interesting to note that the spelling of the word matched the first 4 letters of the state.

There are many other things to do and see here other than checking out places connected with Lincoln like excellent shopping opportunities, terrific dining and exciting nightlife.

If you are travelling with kids, there many places here like amusements parks like Adventure Village, Boulder Creek Fun Park, the Kicks Entertainment centre which are sure to please them. The sports lovers will love spending time at the golf grounds or the recreation areas.
