Various surgical and scientific procedures today study means of slowing down the aging process, or even stopping it completely. They do life extension, genetic and tissue engineering. The amounts of success realized in these ventures are few, yet people press on. As for me, I commend such people who are pressing on because by pressing on, they encourage the scientists to come up with better anti aging solutions. While it's perfectly normal to want to avoid or slow down the process of aging, it's not normal for anyone to expect never to grow old. Growing old is a natural process, as is living. You can't avoid growing old. But you can slow down the process and refuse to look too old. Hey, just changing the clothes you wear is a good anti aging process. There is nothing wrong with failure, but what could make it all wrong is when you fail and you don't get up to try again. Anti aging has been through all that, but it is still here - and making progress - because those who have devoted their lives to it are still at work. Although there are people on both ends of the gender pool who vouch for anti age measures and medicine, you will agree with me that there are more females that fall into this clique than there are men. Little wonder they are the ones who line up the most at the beauty shops and spend every dollar they make trying to fit into clothes three sizes under. Many anti aging experts, when they know that you are interested in the measures that they proffer, want to know if you have a good work out regimen. If you don't, they often advise you to; because it helps with processes they are going to guide you through. Then you would realize that you might as well have been doing it all your life. It is no surprise that Egyptians are among the first to show interest in life extension. Research shows that of the knowledge they had in the past, much was used to research into means of making life longer and finer. And when this failed, they at least contemplated carrying it over to the afterlife. There is a lot of history that is written about various quests for life extension and preserved youth. Also much fiction is derived from this. Spanish poet Ponce de LeÛn wrote about his search for the "Fountain of Youth" as far back as the 16th century, showing that man has been interested in such for at least that long. Until you are about 80 years of age, as discovered by Dr. Daniel Mroczek, you will tend to get happier with your life and with your achievements. After that age, you might find fewer reasons to be ecstatic, but you would still be endowed with the experience of age. There therefore shouldn't be much of a reason to fear aging as people do today.
