Hailing Island

Hailing Island lies south of Yangjiang City in Guangdong Province and,with an area of 107.8 square kilometers and a coastline of 123.5 kilometers,is Guangdong's second largest island. At its center is a land basin and there are two townships,Hailing and Zhapo.
Zhapo's Dajiaohuan-Mawei Beach is a provincial Class-A sea beach, its wide, flat sands facing the sea on one side and screened by hills on the other three.Gentle waves and breezes in the bay,coupled with fog on either side make it an enchanting spot.Of Guang-dong's 14 scenic areas, this is the only area named after that of the sand beach.
The south bay has a 9,250-meter-long beach,known as the "ten-li silver beach."  where clear waters caress soft sand.The pure sand beach, blue seawaters and stretch of green woodland set each other off to perfection,resulting in the accolade "God's masterpiece."
