Millions are looking for natural ways to ease the pain of their headaches. More than 25 million people are victims of these disabling migraine headaches. Thankfully, however, science has found natural remedies to overcome the irritating pain and provide permanent relief. What are you currently doing to relieve the pain? Aside from vomiting and taking dangerous pain killer drugs, the only other option most people know of is finding a dark place to lay down and wait it out. Those seem to be your only choices. Anyone who suffers from migraine headaches knows what I’m saying. But, for those who want more natural migraine pain relief methods, then here are some suggestions for fast, easy relief. Now this is not written in stone, but it seems like most migraine headaches are brought on by stress, tension, food triggers, medications or glandular imbalances. Isolating and removing the triggers from your life will go a long way towards preventing future headaches. The next thing you can do for yourself to prevent painful headaches is to improve your diet. Your goal is to remove all of the processed foods and replace them with good natural whole foods. What do you mean by whole foods? A whole food diet starts with the basics of brown rice, whole wheat and natural soy. Don’t be fooled by white rice, enriched wheat, and GMO soy. They offer NO nutrition and do more harm than good. Another part of a whole food diet is eating colorful fruits and vegetables. Now don't think you can get away with things like fruit juice or those fake fruit rolls you find in the grocery store. They're just not whole food. And, you can't count iceberg lettuce, potatoes or bananas. They just don't give you enough of what you're eating the fruits and vegetables for. Now don't worry if you eat those things once in a while, but remember that they're not giving you the important phytonutrients that you need to be healthy. Rounding out a good whole food diet includes low fat dairy products, eggs and lean meats, preferably chicken and fish, but especially fish. The most important area to focus on if you want relief from migraine pain, is the area of fatty fish. This includes salmon, tuna, sardines, mackerel and anchovies. They're rich in the omega 3 fatty acids that have been proven to decrease both the pain and frequency of migraines. So, you need to eat at least 3-5 servings of fatty fish a week. If eating fish doesn't appeal to you, you need to supplement your diet with a pure fish oil supplement that contains EPA and DHA. Researchers are reporting incredible positive health benefits from taking omega 3 fish oils. If you take your fish oils supplements regularly, there's a very good chance that you'll see an immediate reduction in the frequency and severity of your migraines. Some have even found taking several capsules at the first indication of a migraine actually minimizes or prevents it from happening. So get yourself on a whole food diet that includes plenty of fatty fish or a fish oil supplement and you'll be amazed at how good you feel. Migraines will be a thing of the past!
