Honestly, parking somebody else’s auto used to be one of the things I rejected the most. It didn’t matter if it was for a closed friend, my uncle, or even my wifey; the idea of parking another person’s auto was simply unpleasant to me. For me, it’s not that different from putting on their clothes for them. And then I got a call from my manager—the auto parts guy. “Would you like to be a valet attendant for a day?” I can’t say a word. Tired from keeping horrible topics surrounding our place, I thought I deserved a break. Then here I was being asked to take the role of a valet attendant—inclusive with the required suit. Please give me a break. I pray he had asked me to be a macho dancer or even massage parlor attendant instead. But visibly, the job had to be motoring-interrelated. Despite my disagreement, my manager sales-talk aptitude—exactly the kind he uses on young women—won me over. Here’s a surprise: Even after approving to do it, I felt so bothered about the whole thing that I truly tried to jiggle my way out of the job. I did it by holding the first fixed pictorial assembly. Unprofessional? Maybe, but I was prepared to take whatever they had to say as long I could free myself from this potentially embarrassing condition. I was positive that my manager would just be so depressed that he’d eventually just find someone else to finish the job. I planned to just fade away if he didn’t bring up the matter again. But with the kind of persistence that one could only start after a lifetime of getting junked by the ladies, my manager simply postponed the pictorial. As soon as we reached at the lodge’s entrance hall, the PR officer was there expecting for us. Everything was usual around the lodge on this day. The lodge representatives were kind and quick. A lodge valet parking boys should own a pleasing attitude. The supervisor of valet attendant quickly instructed me on the ABCs of being a valet attendant. For some , the job looks to be trouble-free but not after learning its effects of loppiness. ----------
