Cleaning gutters is a thankless, dirty job that absolutely no one wants to get saddled with. Homeowners dread rain and storms because they know that once the rain stops, they'll be forced to climb up a wobbly ladder to clean out the gutters. Some people even hate it so much that they opt for paying a cleaning company to come clean their gutters after every rain. If you have cash to spend, that's a decent option, but most people don't have disposable income to be throwing around. For most of us who are a bit more money conscious, installing a gutter cap on your roof is a far better option than opting for temporary fixes. See, cleaning your gutters every time it rains is just wasting time treating the symptoms of the problem. You clean them out and the next week they're full again and require cleaning. It's like if you go to the dentist for a cleaning and a cavity fix. You'll leave the dentist's office with a clean mouth and no cavities, but if you go back to sugary foods without flossing you'll end up in the same predicament later on. Installing a gutter cap prevents the problems that cause clogged gutters. On normal gutters without a gutter cap, the rainwater pushes down all the debris, sticks, leaves, and random dirt into your gutters. The water drains out, but all the debris obstructs the flow of water for future storms. If enough debris accumulates, the water has nowhere to go but over the side and into your yard. No body wants a flooded yard or lawn, and installing a gutter cap will prevent clogged gutters and flooded yards. You end up saving time and money in the long run, and using a gutter cap will appreciate the value of your home.
