Decorating with Greenery A critical step to beautifying your home is creating a desirable atmosphere. You can achieve this ambiance by combining tasteful styles, textures, colors, and furniture pieces. In a room with earthy colors—a very trendy look nowadays—greenery helps the room breathe and feel fresh. In order to pick the right size, shape, and style of greenery, you need to have a good idea of the area that you would like use. Vertically, you will want one to two feet of space between the ceiling and the top of the tree. Make sure that the branches of the tree do not look crowded or condensed. You may want to choose a smaller plant, such as a bonsai tree, if you plan to have your greenery sit on a table. Hanging plants add greenery to places that otherwise may look too bare, such as the corners of your ceiling. The benefit to silk plants is that they can be placed in areas that do not receive direct sunlight, yet they still retain a natural look. Artificial Palm Trees Most people, when they think of artificial trees, think of a pine tree or Christmas tree. Few would think of the palm tree as a choice in artificial trees. These two tree types are extremely different, not only in local environment but also in appearance. There are hundreds and hundreds of different styles of palm trees; the same goes with silk palm trees. Tall, tropical palm trees (like what you would expect to find on the beach) are the most sought after style. Because the palm tree has very broad, extended leaves, you will want to know the girth of the tree. It wouldn’t do to have your palm tree arrive and not have enough room for it Palm trees often look nice in offices, bedrooms, and kitchen areas if there is sufficient space.
