A newsletter will help you develop and maintain a steady relationship with your clientele. If you keep in touch with your customers through newsletters at regular intervals, they will remain updated about the recent developments of your business as well as the sector itself.

So in other words, it promotes your business and help you sell more and more products because of the trust relation you are building up.

Obviously you need to promote your newsletter to get readers. But how to do that? There are so many ways to go at it.

Third party mailing lists are also helpful though you have to spend some extra dough on it. If you let the mailing list handle the tough job of finding clients for you, they take care of all the bounced mails, subscriptions and un-subscriptions.

These people generally keep in regular touch with their list so their lists are pretty responsive. It's easy but costs money. But it will give you the time to focus on the content rather then doing constant promotions.

It's highly advisable to be totally independent from these lists by building your list in the same time. DO this by installing a autoresponder software on your host, or by getting a membership to one of the many great ones out there.

To keep track of all those subscribers, you need to have a constant internet connection. And you need to keep on sending messages to make sure they know who you are and eliminate spam complaints.
