When the peas have sufficient sprouts that reach the trellis, you can snip the tip as this will encouraged side shoots. Assist the grown tips to reach the trellis by tying thin string or if grown enough, winding it around the sticks several times. Just make sure you are not applying too much pressure or you will end up breaking the stem. As soon as the peas start cropping, observe carefully and when ready to harvest, always take out the matured crop to encouraged further bearing.
