Millions of people who are overweight are trying to regain the youthful, slim bodies that they once had. Fat is used by your body for energy. If your body sees you going on a diet, it's going to start saving fat. This is your body’s survival mechanism at work. So, do you want some information and ideas on how to lose pounds? 1. Eating Excess Calories -Your thyroid is one of the physical aspects that controls how much you weigh. If you have hypothyroidism, a condition that puts out less T3, thyroxine, than normal, you will not burn as much fat as when your thyroid is normal. You can also create less T3 by eating fewer carbohydrates. When you eat less carbohydrates your thyroid reduces its T3 output and causes you to, also, burn less fat. 2. Fiber – Fiber is the secret to a healthy life. Just this one idea of eating more fiber will do more for your health than any other change. Fiber will help you lose pounds. Fiber prevents the re-absorption of fats back into the blood in your colon and keeps your liver and whole body from toxic contamination. 3. Bowel Movements – When the movie star, John Wayne, died his autopsy showed his colon weighed 40 lbs. His colon had collected fecal matter along the colon walls. Keeping regular is an important condition that will help you lose pounds and help you find your normal weight. A good colon cleansing process will clean out your colon and give you a jump start in your weight loss program. 4. Thyroid – This is the first organ you should test when you start a program to lose pounds. If your thyroid is not putting out enough thyroxine hormones you will have a hard time losing weight. So test it using a basal thermometer. This check is done when you first wake up. You check the temperature in your underarm. Low temperature indicates low thyroid function. You can find out how to do this thyroid test on the Internet. 5. Physical Movements – Most people don’t like to exercise. But if you want to know how to lose pounds, then this is the secret – exercise. But, you say, I already exercise and I’m not losing weight. You are not exercising right. There is a method of losing weight and it’s called the PACE METHOD of exercising and weight loss. Check it out. 6. Eating Sugar – Excess insulin, which is caused by eating an excess of processed food or simple carbohydrates can prevent you from losing weight. One thing insulin does is to push fat into your body cells and then turns around and prevents that fat from coming out. So, back off on eating excess processed foods and start eating more fruits and vegetables. By taking avocado extract in the evening your can block the release of insulin when blood sugar is high without causing a diabetic state of high blood sugar. To lose pounds is not just a matter of eating less and exercising more or taking special formulated pills. What is it is living a healthy lifestyle.
