Romance is the one language that the heart loves best. That is why every year we even have a special day to celebrate it! All relationships require some commitment to keep the flame burning high. Romance is sexy and powerful and for most of us very necessary toour lives. When we show the special other half in our lives that they are special to us, we are being romantic. Whilst males and women come from different 'planets' and they hold their own ideas about what romance is, no matter what planet you are from, it simply feels so good when someone you love do their best to spoil you no matter which way they choose. However you choose to do it, St Valentines Day should be about spending quality timewith your other half, and not about the giving of thoughtlessgifts. This year, to make your Valentines Day exceptional, why not do things a little different to the way you would normally do? Give the special gift of your time instead of expensive presents. In five years time, which do you think your better half will recall most? The gold watchyou bought them or the extra special way you made them feel? Valentines Day Activities Plan to spend a relaxing time at home rather than having to rush to and from places! Instead of going out to a restaurant or a movie house theater, why not bring Valentines Day to your own place? Love Notes The night before St Valentines Day, hide small love notes and small chocolates in your beloved's motor car or briefcase so that they will find it on their way to work or while at work. Watch a Valentines Day Sunrise! Kick off your St Valentines Day activities by watching the beautiful miracle of a sunrise! How much more romantic can the start to your Valentines day be than to find a quiet place to sit and just be together, watching the sun slowly rising on the horizon, while sipping a cup of hot chocolate from a thermos! Bubble it up! If do you get up to watch the sunrise, you will in all likely hood some time available before either one of you have to hurry off to work. Spend a bit of time and enjoy a nice hot shower or a fragrant bubble bath together. Have a good breakfast together if time permits. Order in! Instead of spending your time preparing food, order in! Place an order for the food that your other half enjoys and have it delivered at a specified time. That way, you get to unwind too! While you wait for your order to be delivered, play some romantic music to listen to in the background. Light some candles to set a romantic mood. Pour some wine or bubbly, and snuggle on the sofa or lay out a soft and cozy blanket in front of a roaring fire. Sneak little cuddles in between sips of wine or bubbly. Dance! Enjoy a slow dance together. Slow dancing is a wonderful way to spend quality time together without having to say anything. Listen to the music and just open yourself up to the magic of being together. Have a film marathon on a big screen! Have a film marathon watching the movies that your loved one will enjoy, all in the comfort of your own home. Lease a big screen TV for the day and turn it into your own home theater! Cuddle together on a big sofa, holding hands and sharing some laughter or tears watching a medley of movies. Laugh it up! a) If your other half is not the movie watching kind, hire some funny TV, pull out the Xbox. Compete against one another and be a kid again! You will most likely find that it is the most fun you have had in a while! b) Buy some Red and White blackboard chalk and write love messages to one another on a wall in your lounge. Draw big hearts with arrows through it. Draw caricatures of each other. Build your own Love Grafitti Wall! (Choose a wall that will not get messed up by the chalk! The wall will clean up easy enough when you need it to - just wipe with a damp cloth). Remember the adage: It's not that you don't play because you're too old, you get old because you don't play! Most especially, make sure that you snuggle and hug and laugh for the day. Do not bring up old gripes or insecurities, there are 364 other days of the year for that! Enjoy your Valentines Day!
