So many marriages break apart because people just don't know how to fix them. But if there's any love still left in the marriage, it's usually possible to save it. Counseling can help, but saving a marriage really isn't a complicated affair. It's really up to the two people involved. Here’s some marriage relationship advice that will help prevent divorce.

1. Don't Expect Perfection--Many people have a hard time getting over the disappointment that their marriage is not perfect. The fact is, no marriage is even close to perfect. Every marriage has problems. You might fix one problem only to have another one rear its ugly head. Some problems never really go away. You and your spouse simply must find a way of getting over these rough patches. We all make mistakes. A little forgiveness can go a long way towards saving a marriage.

2. Talk, Listen, Communicate--If you and your spouse don't communicate well, there are bound to be problems in the marriage. It can be very difficult sometimes, but you have to be honest with your partner. This is perhaps the most important marriage relationship advice of all. Remember, just about anything can be resolved through communication.

3. Be Willing to Compromise--Again, this can be difficult (everybody likes to get their own way), but finding a middle ground can often end conflict. You have to accept that there will be times when each of you will have to give up certain things.

4. Stay Committed--You need to keep on trying to save your marriage up until the very end. Some people give up too easily. If you and you're spouse are truly committed to making the marriage work it will work. Of course, there are cases where the damage is too severe. But divorce should really be seen as a last resort.
