1) Unlimited' Wireless Voice & Data Plans
Business Week spots a trend that probably isn't....
Business Week (via Slashdot) suggests that truly unlimited wireless phone plans (that includes text messaging and data) are on the horizon. It's not cheap of course: they note that Sprint has started offering an all-you-can-eat voice and data plan for $150 in San Francisco. While they suggest this is a trend, so far it looks like only Sprint is offering it, and on a trial basis at that. Verizon Wireless execs have previously stated they may, in fact, be headed the opposite direction: the scuff-up over their very limited unlimited wireless broadband service has left them considering billing by the byte.

2) 250 million users to use converged networks by 2011
ABI Research has found that by 2011, some 250 mln users will be making and receiving phone calls over converged fixed-mobile networks and access points, and the firm expects capital expenditure in FMC infrastructure to exceed $450 mln by 2011. That equates to around 10% of households and 8% of enterprises using some form of FMC access point on the premises.

3) Mobile phone production slowing down to 2010
In 2004, 2005 and 2006, mobile-phone unit production grew by an average of 19.3%. In 2007, the growth will slow to a mere 9.1%, followed by 6.9% in 2008, 4.8% in 2009 and 3% in 2010.
