Natural Pimple Remedies from the Fridge and Cupboard

There are legitimate and illegitimate home remedies for acne. Since your skin is sensitve, you don't want to damage it. We will review some methods that have been used over the centuries and have received positive feedback.

A home remedy that is on the net for clearing pimples is to squeeze a lemon into a bit of water and apply to your skin. This has astringent properties. If your skin however has open lesions do not do this as you don't want to irritate or exacerbate the problem. Always test a small area first.

Take a raw egg and beat it in a bowl. Then apply to your cysts, acne and pimples and let it dry on your skin like a mask. This has been used for centuries and the protein is very nourishing for the skin.

A cucumber mask is useful to refine and tone the skin. Some mix it with yogurt or other ingredients, but you can use it alone after you chop and grate it up. The cucumber has healing and refreshing properties. After placing this on your skin , get in bed for 20 minutes and then rinse it off your skin. Feel the tightening and toning it's accomplished.

Mix oatmeal with water and apply to the skin once it has become a paste. Leave it on like a mask for approximately fifteen minutes. There are products you can buy that have oatmeal in them and are used in the bathtub, but you can make this yourself easily. Rinse off after fifteen minutes.

Be careful of a few things such as if your bangs are on your forehead and you have oily skin. This can cause breakouts of pimples. Also wash your pillow case and don't keep your hand propping up your face when you sit at a desk at school or work. There is oil in your hands.

Cider vinegar has many cleansing properties. When applied to your acne prone skin, it can help to dry up oil without stripping your skin of all the oil it needs. It also contains many bacteria fighting properties that get below the skin to fight acne germs before they cause a pimple on the surface of your skin. One of the best things about this home acne cure is the price. Not only is apple cider vinegar relatively inexpensive, one small bottle will last you a long time, because for this remedy to be effective, you need to dilute the vinegar with water. Simply add one part vinegar to six parts water and dab some of the solution on a clean cotton ball. Rub the vinegar water Apple cider vinegar is a product that is inexpensive and easy to find in the supermarket. It fights bacteria which is what the topical antibiotics do for acne. It is acidic so remember to dilute it in a 7:1 proprtion with water being higher. Ue a cotton ball and apply to your skin. Some also take a little apple cider vinegar internally to help their body ph.

Don't get discouraged about your skin. There are remedies that will kill the bacteria and you can reduce your outbreaks. Try to eat well, get sufficient rest and reduce your stress levels as well so your immune system stays strong.
