Relationship Advice for Women – Dealing with Infidelity

You had a boyfriend you really liked and the two of you broke up because someone cheated. Now you miss him. The problem is, how do you get your boyfriend back? It's a tricky thing to do, but it is possible if you know exactly what to say and do. Here’s some relationship advice for women dealing with infidelity.

The first thing to recognize is that whatever happened in the relationship, both of you are to blame to some degree. Even if he cheated on you, it was partly because he wasn't getting what he needed out of your relationship together. So he looked elsewhere. Yes, he was morally wrong to cheat. But in most cases it takes two to create a situation where cheating occurs.

You have to acknowledge that relationships aren't perfect. Far from it. That's why it's important to forgive and forget. You've got to release the anger and never let it get in the way of your relationship again. If you can't do this, you'll never get your boyfriend back for long.

But what if you cheated on him? Of course, you've got to apologize--and really mean it. You've got to commit to changing yourself. If you can't convince your ex-boyfriend that you're sincere, you won't get him back.

Get ready to pursue him a little bit. Don't stalk him. Don't send him dozens of text messages and e-mails. But you've got to show him that you're really still interested in him. He's not going to return simply because you decided you made a mistake and want him back. You've got to put your heart into it and eat some humble pie.

You might need to compromise. Maybe he only wants to be friends for a while. Accept this. It takes time to build the trust back up again. If you really want to get your boyfriend back, you'll be patient and understanding.

Even if you followed all the relationship advice for women you ever heard, you still might have to accept that too much damage has been done. Your ex-boyfriend might not be able to ever forgive you, or you him. You've got to recognize that it just wasn't meant to be. Move on, and enter other relationships. Your true love is still probably out there!
