Spring Season For Window Shades

Think about the effort required to position a spring roller shade precisely. Infinite control is not possible with spring shades. Instead, you are forced to accept one of the height options where the spring stops. With chain window shades, you have infinite control over the height of the shade.

An additional benefit of chain window shades is that the fabric on the roller shades will remain in mint condition. How can this be? It's because of the mechanization that allows the shade to be raised and lowered without a human hand touching the fabric. The old-fashioned spring controlled window shades could not offer the durability or strength that the roller shade chain systems do. This is due to the various types of springs used in window shades. With this innovative style, the springs, which prevent the shade from sliding, are completely encased. Although similar to the spring roller shade, these window shades use stronger springs. Consequently, this new shade system can control shades as large as 8X10 feet. Spring window shades could never have worked with such a large roller shade.

If you want your roller shades to remain in mint condition for years to come, or, if it's important that one roller shade be big enough to cover an especially large window, chain controlled window shades are the desired choice for most homeowners.
