The Advantages of Owning a Double Stroller If you've got children you are very familiar with the scene. You are shopping; attempting to purchase something, and all of a sudden your youngest child requires your attention. As you're attempting to calm him, your oldest child decides that this would be a great opportunity to make believe that they are Dora the Explorer and crawl through the hidden depths of the racks of clothing and supply shelves. Or maybe you are at a fair or other event that requires you to spend a great deal of time walking around. While you've made plans for your younger child's accommodations, either with a stroller or sling, you neglected to plan for the moment when your eldest child thinks they're done and stages a sit-down protest until you're forced to end your day early or hold them. No matter which circumstance you are in, if you have more than one young child, buying yourself a double stroller is an investment you will never regret. A good double stroller provides your smaller child the same accommodations that they would have had if they were traveling in a regular stroller while giving your older child to opportunity to get in and ride when they're tired of walking. A double stroller will provide a way for you to do this without the struggle of simultaneously pushing two strollers (we have all tried it--it is an exercise that is most definitely going to fall short of its goal). Furthermore, if you have two quite young kids this helps to avoid a little bit of the rivalry that the older brother or sister may feel if they find themselves forced to keep walking well past their limit, while their baby sister or brother is permitted to be held in a sling or ride in a stroller. When double strollers were first on the market, they had a bad reputation. They were heavy, bulky, big, difficult to steer and difficult to pack around. Fortunately, new versions are designed with comfort and ease in mind. Now, double strollers are a lot more light than earlier models, and they come in several sizes and colors. This will mean that if you prefer a jogging stroller or an umbrella stroller to a traditional, full size model, you can have one without having to struggle with which child will be able to have the fun of being the passenger. You can get double strollers designed as single strollers but has got a stoop on the back for your older kids, making transportation a lot simpler without having to give up convenience. Double strollers are manufactured by most companies, which translates to the fact that you can buy one from most major baby retailers. This means that if if you live by a Burlington Coat Factory (as ironic as it may seem, you can find almost anything in their Baby Depot), a Sears, or a J.C. Penney, you will be able to purchase one there. However, why should you waste time and gas driving to a store when you can shop conveniently in the comfort of your home on the internet? You can have your stroller sent right to your doorstep. Regardless of how you shop, you shouldn't have very much trouble finding a double stroller to accommodate your family's budget and needs.
