Teenagers in now’s world face insurmountable issues. To begin, a teenager goes through puberty, which may last for years. Problems at home and school may add much stress to a teen’s life. Schoolwork, homework, sports, dating, and friendships every one of can add up to a widely known deal of topics that need to be dealt with on a daily basis. Added to the mix for legions is the presence of drugs, alcohol, smoking, violence, and sex. With all this and more to deal with, many teenagers have a couple of rough years growing up. Peer pressure is something that everyone will present to deal with at one time or another. When you are a teenager, it is even more prevalent. Numerous teens show the desire to fit in and be respected by their peer group, and opt to go along with bad choices so they are accepted. Most teens do not demonstrate the maturity to handle peer pressure, so they simply give in to what is being asked of them. Unfortunately, this can represent stealing, drinking, or smoking, to heading a paltry, every one of of which are terrible for a teenager. After all, on the opposite spectrum, a teenager who hangs out with a group that excels might be pressured to improve himself or herself to keep up. Children grow up being what their parents long for them to be. This frequently includes being a certain religion, being a meat-eater or vegetarian, liking certain music, and so forth. Teenagers must deal with the need to break free of the mould that they may sense they are in and become an individual. They commence to realize that they show their own identification, their own beliefs and wants, and that they do not demonstrate to be like their parents or anyone else. Yet, teenagers are not mature and still need their parents, which myriads times cause emotional turmoil within. Expressions of individualism are usually harmless, these as ear piercing or a certain style of draping. The bygone lessons for dealing with bullies used to be to simply strike back at them. Because they are mostly cowards, they tend not to take that reaction very well and leave their prey alone. Nowadays, schools and other educational establishments have support systems in site to tackle the causes of teenage bullying. The aim here is to foster a society where bullying is frowned upon as being fundamentally wrong and uncool. Sadly, in a society that is stratified along the lines of power relationships, bullying – or at minimal certain degrees of it - exists in almost every demesne of life. Puberty could be a scary and challenging period of one’s life, when new unprecedented urges and emotions are coming to the fore. There are every one of kinds of associated problems such as distress, poor-esteem, fearfuness, and irrationality. Studies suggest that teenagers who are able to speak honestly about the occurrences they are having with puberty to parents, peers, and teachers will cope that much greater with the phase than those who sense they must repress themselves. Sadly, conservative and religious sectors of our societies demonstrate tended to regard puberty as problematical and therefore not worth discussing properly. The important thing to remember is that puberty is a completely natural process that must be dealt with. As with every one of periods of change in a human being’s life, teenage years are ambiguous and uncertain. With so legions pitfalls possible – from low spirits to suffering to anomie – the ultimate that humans around the teenager can do is to offer their jammed full, patient support. Parents would do well to remember that whatever happens in youth is not immutable; mistakes made could always be rectified later in life with the benefit of wisdom accrued through greater experience of life and the world.
