Nowadays, given that we have so many choices, that we validly choose the easiest route. For example, instead of making pancakes with plain flour and sugar, we now just buy instant pancake batter to make our breakfast preparations easier and faster. Same is true when it comes to doctor notes, instead of getting a real medical letter, often times, we resort to finding a sample doctor note online.

If you are planning to use a sample doctor note instead of going to the doctor yourself to obtain a legitimate one, you may want to make sure that the doctor note that you will be using looks and seems authentic. Here are some tips on how to assure that your sample doctor note looks as genuine as possible.

Tip 1: Make sure that the fake doctor’s note has all the basics. This means that it should have the name of the patient, his or her details, the diagnosis, the name of the medical practitioner, the center or clinic name, the address of the center, contact numbers and the signature of the physician. Aside from this, the note should also have the logo of the center.

Tip 2: Make sure the diagnosis is in touch with reality. Rhinovirus, or colds, is usually better than a very rare disease as that calls attention to the fake note.

Tip 3: Finally, ensure that the note is verifiable. Sometimes the human resource department or the teacher will call up the number on the sample doctor note to verify the validity of the diagnosis. Find a way to make this happen, either set up an official sounding voice mail or have a “doctor” to answer the call.
