Being able to view the movie in 3D was what made Journey to the Center of the Earth such fun - but wouldn't it be great to enjoy 3D movies right in your own home theater with 3D Glasses? Are the glasses more of a pain that they're worth? At home, do the effects seem as good as in the theater? As the sheer volume of 3 dimensional theatrical releases increases these questions will be ever more present on consumers minds. Get the thrill of your life with Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D. Having the 3D monsters jump off the screen at you made this movie awesome to see in the theaters. The 3D affects made this movie so much better. In the home, getting a 3d effect comes with some loss of film quality. Colors aren't as bright, and portions of the film might not have the greatest resolution. You may buy a much better set of 3D glasses that were designed for viewing this film which will give a much sharper image than the stock glasses which come along with the film. The DVD includes the ordinary and 3D editions for the movie along with 3D Glasses, however this film is naturally greater in 3D. (as long as you can handle the 3D glasses and your home theater can accommodate the movie). One tip for getting the best picture quality for a 3D movie at home: watch it in Blu-ray if u can, especially if u have a large TV, as the resolution will not look as good with just a regular DVD. As more kids and family movies become available in 3D, we will explore further tips for getting the best possible quality, so that the family can hopefully enjoy the movie at home just as much as they did in the theater.
